The Parliament of Catalonia has approved the Statute of Rural Municipalities, a law that recognizes the value of small villages and aims to curb their depopulation through concrete measures such as tax benefits, bureaucratic simplification, and urban planning support tailored to their specific needs. According to an article published in La Vanguardia on July 17, 2025, this legislation will benefit 608 rural municipalities, acknowledging the need for a differentiated approach to preserve the territory and rural life.

The Guide for Tenants at Risk is now available, a practical tool to defend tenants’ rights. This guide provides clear answers to over 160 common questions about housing: how to find an apartment, what to ask the real estate agency, how to negotiate a contract or request extensions, among others.

On Saturday, April 5th, we participated in Ponent Fest, a fair of social and transformative economy, in Tàrrega. From Laboqueria Arquitectura, it was a true pleasure to be part of this gathering full of initiatives committed to the territory, sustainability, and social justice. We shared ideas and experiences about housing access models such as urban masoveria, housing cooperatives, and other alternatives that put life at the center.

We are very pleased to announce that the Noucentista House in Igualada, renovated by Laboqueria Arquitectura, was featured in the fourth episode of the TV3 program Entre quatre parets. In this episode of the series, musician El Petit de Cal Eril invites us into his home—an inspiring space that blends history and modernity. The renovation preserves the essence and architectural values of the original early 20th-century house, while adapting it with contemporary design principles to meet today’s standards of comfort and functionality.

Redó, recognized with the Rezero Catalunya 2025 Award in the company category! This award highlights circular construction as a tool for social and environmental transformation, emphasizing the importance of rethinking, reusing, renovating, and rebuilding to minimize the environmental impact of construction processes.

On March 6th, Laboqueria Arquitectura participated in a training session organized by Ponent Coopera, aimed at local government staff, to deepen understanding of the cooperative housing model and its potential as a tool to ensure fairer and more sustainable access to housing.
