The article from La Mira, titled “Un hivern a la Segarra”, focuses on those who have chosen to make the rural world their home—a decision that goes beyond the environment: it is a commitment to the territory and the sustainable future of our communities. Among the testimonies is Ricard Grau, partner at Laboqueria Arquitectura, who has chosen to live and work in L’Ametlla de Segarra.

We are very excited to share that Arquitectura y Empresa magazine has published an article about our project Winery Raventós Basagoiti, a work that reinterprets rural architecture with a contemporary vision. This winery is inspired by rural life where living, eating, and working share the same space, capturing the essence of the traditional farmhouse in a new concept of integrated space.

The Diputació de Lleida has launched an inspiring campaign to revitalize small villages and demonstrate that living in rural areas is an option full of opportunities and quality of life. This initiative, featured in an article by La Vanguardia on November 8th, aims to curb rural depopulation and foster an active economic and social fabric in the region.

On November 13, at the Centre Cívic Barceloneta, we presented the Guia de la Llogatera en Perill (Guide for Tenants at Risk), a resource born from the collective and self-organized efforts of the Ciutat Vella housing group, with the support of housing organizations, unions, neighborhood movements, and La Traginera – Comunalitat de Ciutat Vella.

We are pleased to announce that Laboqueria Arquitectura has been selected as a finalist in the competition for the new construction/expansion project of the Geissberg Tinkerbell childcare center, in the municipality of Schaffhausen. Our proposal highlights integration with nature, sustainability, and architectural flexibility, creating welcoming and healthy spaces for children’s development.

On November 9th, we had the pleasure of hosting the “Reutilitzem Recursos de Construcció” (Reuse Construction Resources) event, organized by Territori de Vincles. This gathering brought together people committed to sustainability and the restoration of rural architecture, providing a valuable space to reflect on the importance of building reuse and bioconstruction in preserving the heritage of Segarra and the Corb Valley.

On October 28th, the cornerstone was laid for the new Son Ferriol Health Center in Palma de Mallorca, a facility that will provide healthcare services to over 16,000 residents of the neighborhood. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Government, Marga Prohens, and the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez, who highlighted the importance of this new facility in adapting to the area’s growth and offering quality, accessible healthcare services.

At Laboqueria Arquitectura, we continue to promote the exchange of knowledge with companies that share our commitment to responsible architecture. This week, we welcomed a visit from Alted Materials, a Barcelona-based company dedicated to creating decorative panels made from recycled and non-toxic materials.
