A thermal refuge, adapted to the changing seasons—where renovating a home goes beyond finishes. Casa Palau is a strategic exercise in energy reconversion for the renovation and extension of a single-family house. The project enhances thermal exchange through solar radiation and natural ventilation, using passive strategies that make the renovation economically accessible. The proposal expands the daytime living areas and creates wide, comfortable circulation paths by eliminating the original hallway to achieve a more fluid and functional layout. The aim is to create a dynamic environment that adapts to the needs of its inhabitants throughout the seasons, with a sustainable approach focused on quality of life.
