Designed to be a home that evolves over time, this project proposes a comprehensive interior renovation based on an energy and functional study of each space in the program, while preserving the exterior intact. The renovation of this Noucentist-style house in the center of Igualada seeks to respect the memory of the original building while adapting it to current needs. The goal has been to enhance natural light, improve the connection between spaces, and preserve the house’s original materials, combining them with new solutions that promote comfort and energy efficiency. The renovation embraces a design that integrates Noucentist architectural tradition with sustainable strategies, creating a modern home that remains respectful of its history. The house becomes an example of how contemporary architecture can harmoniously blend with the past, improving the quality of life for its inhabitants.
