Article on housing and demographic repopulation in rural areas that we have participated in together with the Community Ruralities team.

The initiative has as its objective the creation of decent rural housing, filling empty houses that are falling into disrepair little by little; as well as the dynamization of a local and artisanal agri-food chain that promotes quality economic activity in the production, transformation and commercialization sectors.

Decent housing and work are two basic concepts to understand the demographic movements that promote afforestation in small towns and micro-towns. The lack of these, however, are also the main causes of the depopulation crisis suffered by many of the small municipalities threatened with disappearing. The main problem facing many towns is the lack of housing available to rent or buy at an affordable price, as well as the high number of disused buildings.
