Good morning, we share with you this latest project that is about to finish! Single-family house located at the top of the town of Odena. The plot has a descending slope towards the south-west, with its back to the mountain and with incredible views over Igualada.
As it is a compact two-story house, we looked for a way to guarantee good lighting, sunlight and ventilation in all rooms through a staircase/patio in the center of the house.
However, prioritizing sunlight means giving up incredible views and a more integrated and simple implementation on the land, so despite starting from a home in which solar incidence to the south will be partially blocked by the neighbor, we decided to locate the home in the most coherent position and look for strategies to gain sun beyond the facade.
The decision to locate the home in the upper part of the land also has the advantage of freeing up a central recreation and fun area with excellent sun and views where we located the garden.

CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
The house is built using a ceramic brick load-bearing wall structure.
The openings of the house are designed to optimize solar collection and reduce energy losses and in this case, by having limited solar radiation to the south.
Combining passive strategies and active renewable input, we achieve a home that enjoys excellent performance in terms of energy efficiency, well-being and interior comfort with minimal energy consumption.
