Reuse Construction Resources

Territori de Vincles

On November 9th, we had the pleasure of hosting the “Reutilitzem Recursos de Construcció” (Reuse Construction Resources) event, organized by Territori de Vincles. This gathering brought together people committed to sustainability and the restoration of rural architecture, providing a valuable space to reflect on the importance of building reuse and bioconstruction in preserving the heritage of Segarra and the Vall del Corb.

The event began with a warm welcome and an introduction by the organizers, followed by an opening talk from Marc Verdés i Oliva, an architect and anthropologist, who spoke about the geography and demographics of the greater Segarra region, highlighting the importance of community ties for the revitalization of the territory. Next, Blanca Muntadas Jaumandreu, promoter of the RuralModernos project, shared her vision on activating vacant homes through the Viure Santa Coloma initiative.

Later, attendees enjoyed a tasting of local products from the Corb Valley, gaining firsthand insight into the value of local production and the culinary traditions of the region. The day concluded with a visit to two houses under renovation, led by Andy Lindgren from Biork Bioconstrucción, which allowed us to discover, on site, bioconstruction techniques and material reuse—demonstrating how these methods contribute to sustainable and environmentally friendly housing.

We are deeply grateful to all the attendees, speakers, and collaborators for making this gathering a success. Your participation and enthusiasm strengthen our commitment to revaluing rural life and creating new opportunities for living in harmony with the environment.
